Coleen Graham grew up in a western suburb of Chicago,
Illinois. At a young age, Coleen studied both fashion and
interior design. Her discipline and staunch work ethic led
her to a twenty-two year career in the drapery business.
As Coleen’s small business grew, her interest in food
became more apparent; it became her passion.
In 2007,
her passion led her to the University of Vermont at
Burlington for a two year program at the Vermont
Institute for Artisan Cheese.
There, she studied with five European cheese makers
earning her the title of Maitre Fromager (Cheese Master).
In 2009, Coleen started the business, Cheeseparties.com.
Her specialized skill set for pairing cheese with other
food and beverages drove her to educate others on flavor
complexities.
Coleen began making breadsticks as an
accent to her catering and pairing parties; a tasty snack
for guests to munch on before the main course was
served. Over time, Coleen’s breadsticks gained in
popularity and clients began to inquire about where they
could purchase her products. Thus, Coleen’s Better Than
Breadsticks was formed.
Today, Coleen offers six different varieties of breadsticks
which sell in wine bars and food markets in the
Chicagoland area as well as online. Her commitment to
making a quality artisan breadstick is the apparent result
of her hands on production process using the finest
quality ingredients. Each recipe is developed and tested
by Coleen to match the exact flavor profile she sought to
create. Every breadstick is hand cut and stretched to
perfection making them individually unique. |
